初めてでも失敗しない！180秒で分かるクラフトビール選びのポイント！

日本酒なら純米酒や大吟醸、ワインなら赤や白といった感じで、ビールも種類で味の想像をしよう！

先ほど100種類以上あると言ったビアスタイルですが、ビールの製造方法によって大きく３つに分類できます。

①「上面発酵のエールタイプ」

常温醗酵（15℃～25℃）で酵母が活発に繁殖し、炭酸ガスと共に液の上面に酵母が浮かび上がって来る状態になります。そのようにしてできた上面醗酵ビールは、フルーティーな香りがして、やや濁っていて、まったりとした味わい深いものになります。

②「下面発酵のラガータイプ」

下面発酵は、低温醗酵（6℃～15℃）でゆっくりと醗酵が進むので酵母は下面に沈殿していきます。そのようにしてできた下面発酵ビールは、透明感のあるクリアーですっきりした味わいになります。

③「自然発酵のタイプ」

常温醗酵（20℃～）で酵母を接種することなく、自然界の微生物を利用して自然発酵をさせて出来るビールです。自然発酵により酸味が強い物や、フルーツを加えて甘くしたものがあります。

この3つを知っておくだけで、想像した味と大きく間違える事はありません。

クラフトビールデビューにオススメ！味わい重視のエールビール。

エール「Ale」

イギリスのビールの総称。口当たりの良さとフルーティーな香りが特徴。

ペールエール「PaleAle」

琥珀色または銅色のエールで、ホップの苦みとフルーティーさが調和するビール。

インディアペールエール「India PaleAle」

ペールエールよりアルコール度数とホップ使用量が高く味も濃厚。18世紀末にイギリス人がインドへ輸出する際、品質劣化の為に醸造したのが発祥。クラフトビールブームの火付け役で「IPA（アイピーエー）と書いてあるのが一般的。

ゴールデンエール「GoldenAle」

ライトな飲み口で日本人受けしやすいタイプ。

ヴァイツェン「Weizen」

小麦麦芽を使い、苦みが弱くフルーティーな酸味がある淡色ビール。別名ホワイトビールと言われ女性にオススメ。

スタウト「Stout」

おなじみギネス社によって作られた、香ばしさと深い苦みが特徴の黒ビール。

日本人にはお馴染みのゴクゴクタイプのラガービール

ピルスナー「Pilsner」

軽快さと辛口キレのある喉越しが特徴。日本の大手メーカーの淡色系ビールはこのタイプ。

ドルトムンダー「Dortmunder」

ドイツのドルトムント発祥で、ピルスナーに比べて苦みは少し弱く味は濃いめ。

シュヴァルツ「Schwarz」

ロースト（焼いた）モルトの香ばしい香りがあり、甘味が少ない黒ビール。

これホントにビール!?ビールの枠を超えた個性溢れる自然発酵ビール。

ランビック「Lambic」

ベルギー発祥で、あえて古いホップを使い苦みを抑え独特な香りと酸味が特徴。

クリーク「Kriek」

ランビックにチェリーを浸して発酵させたもの。チェリー風味で甘苦い味が特徴。

フルーツ「Fruits」

ランビックに各種フルーツを浸したものや、果汁を添加したカクテルビール。味のバリエーションは様々。
